These days, last year
Even as the memory of Lockdown 2020 haunts us, the second wave of COVID-19 is hitting us. In a matter of days, things are beginning to look murkier once again, as cases begin to mount and 7 states across India are affected. Complacency coupled with, what experts call, COVID fatigue are the primary contributors to this sudden change in the COVID-19 scenario in Odisha.
Last year, around this time the only things that were visible on the streets were Masks. From surgical masks to masks made of fabrics, more so, fabrics from Odisha caught the attention of people. As people stopped moving outside, small scale businesses had no choice but to switch to selling masks, either for survival or as a side business. Some took it as a social mission. Thanks to the virus, we now have a closet of masks!
It’s time to bring them back.
We, for sure, do not want another lockdown and hence, need to follow all COVID-19 guidelines. Please continue to wear a mask & practice social distancing wherever possible.
